Just down, or you can put in clips on the sides. Anything else turns out horribly in school portraits.

no ponytail, thats for sure. especially if u have blonde hair, it could make u look bald. (eek!). but i think it depends on who u are... year book pics are kinda like a way to capture who you were in that grade... i think that if u jsut make it look styled and nice, you could just leave it down with maybe a little bit of curl to some pieces using a think curling iron and kinda frame ur face :]
