Having my hair done soon, need pictures!!?

hiya,

i'm planning on having my hair done in a couple of weeks or so, and i'd like my hair to be just below my shoulders and layered but still be able to wear my hair in a ponytail... So really i don't have any problems finding a style but on the other hand, i've been looking for a picture matching this description for months!! lol and haven't come up with anything... some of you would say that i just have to tell my stylist what i want but she wants a picture!! and if i don't find one, she'll give me books to look at and really, i don't want to have to do that as i'd feel kinda pressured... anyone knows where i could get good pictures?? everything i've seen so far whilst looking for it was stupid hairstyles you never see anybody wearing!! please help!!!

Can't you think of a celeb that has the hairstyle you want? I am getting on in years now,a bit overweight, and whispered to my hairdresser that I thought that Jane Fonda had a nice style-she promptly turned to the girl who was shampooing me, and shouted across the salon.."See if we can get this lady to resemble Jane Fonda !" , I wanted the ground to open up, as everyone turned to look at me, and decided it would take a miracle to make that happen! But really, pick a celeb with the kind of look you like-then no need for a photo! Good Luck

Good grief!!! Don't look at mine. I was a wee punk rebel when this one was taken. Not sure where you can get good pictures, perhaps you have a style in mind which you have seen on an actress/actor. If your hairdresser is any good, they will be able to advise you on what you fancy when you give them a rough idea what you are looking for!!

In newsagents there are some good hair magazines with pictures in. On alternative, look at some celebs with hair types like yours and pick one you like. When you get your hair done, show the pic to your hairdresser.
