My hair is thick and wavy unless I flat iron it. I want to get something short and cute. Not too boyish..and something easy to fix that I can do different styles with. Here are some pictures of me please let me know what you think would look good.....pictures would be greatly appreciated.

you should really stick with long hair. Because it will elongate your body. Also what the other people said. You have a rounder face, and having that style of hair will not flatter your shape.

I say if you wear your hair up most of the time and you have time to do your hair EVERY morning... then cut it, chop it off!!!

Is it for an occasion or just because you don't want to wear it straight?

You should curl it and put it half up in a barrette since your hair is really healthy the curls will look awesome. Or put it up in a clip so the curls hang down.Or you could crimp it and leave it down you curl it and flip your head upside down run you fingers through it so it loosens up the curls a little.

I think alot of people don't know there the same pic different angle.

Hello everybody! I am going to get my hair cut soon, and I was wondering if there were any websites with good pictures of different cuts or styles. I tried thehairstyler.com and makeoversolutions.com, but my membership has expired. If you don't have any links, maybe you could give me some of your own ideas. I have a round to oval shaped face and fairly straight hair with a little bit of wave and curl underneath. My hair is kind of thick, and comes to just below my shoulders. I am not getting it dyed, but my hair is blonde, I have blue eyes, and I have lighter skin with a little bit of a golden tone, if any of that makes a difference it any way. Thanks for helping me!

I would suggest to cut a good chunk off your hair, then get layers so that the "shortest" layer is starting on your jaw line, and make sure they go all ayay around your head.

For some cool hairstyles, you could straighten your hair, which would look pretty. Or, you could try different kinds of ponytails, or put curls in your hair :D

well i don't know if your hair is thin or thick or short or long but these couple haircuts are really good no matter how straight or curly your hair may be. You can get longer layers and longer side bangs. If you would get side bangs then have them long enough to still put back into a ponytail but still have it long enough so it can be straightened.

hmmm, i actually like both hairs tyles on you. my hair is actually very similar to yours when it's curly. i used to love to straighten my hair, i just fell so different, ....but after i had my two little ones, my hair is not as curly as it was before (i have no idea why, it can happen...) and i miss the curls. it is still curly when i wash it and leave it air dry, but not as much.... my point is, don't straighten your hair too much, just once in a while, if you really have to

...if i had to pick one, i would go for the curly one, it looks more natural and playful... and i think guys like that more!:)

I've been parting my hair in the same spot for a long time and I've blow dried and flat ironed the bangs there for a while now, and it seems like my hair has made a weird growing pattern all on its own there..

It's from parting your hair in the same spot. Try parting them on the opposite side for a while.

I think you should keep growing your hair out long and get some major side swept bangs with some layers in your lenght. your hair would look like vanessa hudgense, and if you have to change the color just lighten it a little. I love your hair =]

i've dyed my hair a million times already (mostly different browns)

today i spent almost $100 getting highlights and dying my hair and it still looks black (my original hair) when i take pictures! and yes, its with flash and i'm in the light. everytime i dye it it never shows up! i wasted alot of money already :(

Well if it's only for pictures I wouldn't worry about it. And since you have very dark hair to begin with, it's a bit of a long process to lighten it with highlights. I would not suggest bleaching it as this would ruin your hair more than highlights would. Next time you go to the hair salon, ask them to put in more golden highlights and to chunk them a little bit so it'll be more noticeable.

you say you have lightened your hair... did you go to a salon? If you are buying stuff at a grocery store it's not going to work. 100 dollars I'm guessing you went to a salon. Obviously they did not put enough highlights in it would have showed through unless they used a toner that was too dark. Color will not lighten color so if you have color in your hair useing a lighter color will do nothing. If you want lighter hair you may have to lighten your whole head which can be incredibly damaging esp where you have highlighted and colored already. Go back to the salon! I work in one and if you were not happy with something I did I would want you to come back to have it fixed there is nothing worse then spending that much money and not being completely happy with what was done!

It is kind of like a rite of passage. So I say sure go for it, but know that you will regret it. And also know that every other girl did it at some point in their life too. Don't worry dear. What you see in a mirror is the truth. What you see in a mirror is what other people see. What you see in the mirror is what you look like in normal lighting.

What you see in most photographs is artificially lighted, usually with ultra intense flash photography lighting. Unless you live in blinding lights, you're all set.

If you know you are going to have photograph(s) taken, try different hairstyles. ( For instance, if you have a hairdo that features a lot of " loft " , the light will go right through it, making it look like your hair is thin; use a hairstyle that keeps the hair closer to your head. )

I have kind of long hair for a guy. Its about 5 inches in the longest parts. I like it long like it is now, but my girlfriend doesnt. She likes my hair how it was when we met 3 years ago because it was short, and she always wants me to get that haircut again. The problem is I was 15 when we met (Im 18 now) and then my face was still "a kid face". This made me look okay with that haircut. Now I've grown up and my face has changed. Because i look different, I think longer hair looks better. I've gotten haircuts for her countless times just like the one I had when we met and they look horrible. She always says that its just because I got a bad haircut but I know its because my face is different than it was, and now I look better with long hair. She says unless I cut my hair shorter (which I hate and she knows it) she wont talk to me. I always cut my hair for her and I'm sick of it. Get layers put in all the same length, about to where your neck starts. Get the top layery bits dyed a bit of a lighter brown and get the rest bleached blonde. If you want something really bold then get the top layers jet black instead of brown. It sounds insane but looks nice, honest! It might make you look a bit younger though.

I have thin hair. i am 13. it is brown and about 2in. below my shoulder. i have a perm that is kind of just starting to lose curl a little bit, i've only had one perm and i got it in june 2007. i am going to florida for spring break and i am going swimming a lot there so i am going to wait to get a perm untill i come back from florida. but i have a little bit of sidebangs, a few layers.

Since your hair is about the same length as mine shoulder and I have dark brown hair and brown eyes I can help you. I curl my hair in spiral curls, but not tight ones. They need to be loose. I use Suave 8 hold hair spray and that tends to work. I would show you a picture, but I do not have one to really show you. Good Luck!

I suggest french braid pigtails, a lady lump, a lady lump with ponytail, a lady lump with loose pigtails, half up half down, curl the ends slightly and put half up half down, leave it down and scrunch it everywhere, loose ponytail, messy bun, ponytail braid, pigtails, ponytails all over your head. I hope that helped. Wear mascara for your eyes.

i was a freshman going to prom and my mom didn't want to pay for a professional doing it. so i curled it all from bottom to top layer and pulled it halfway back. then i touched it up because it looked bad after i pulled it back. and just get a big barrel curling iron. and use mousse before you curl it and hairspray throughout the whole process.

Cut it to your shoulders, get ton's of layers, go with shorter side bands.. an add some Carmel color highlights to it.

You have really pretty eyes. If I were you I would go dark since it would really make (this is going to sound cheesy), but it would make your eyes pop. Like a chocolate brown would look really pretty and maybe some side-swept bangs if you're up for the maintenance.

don't put the low lights just on the top do it all throughout the hair you could also get more layers... grow ur hair out a little longer

Well Im not an expert when it comes to hair but something that im sure of is that you should dry a darker shade of color like brown, that will make yopur beautiful eyes pop.

I had the exact same problem because usually the internet doesn't show many good pictures of people with layers. When your at the salon just tell them to give you a short layered cut and keep bangs there and if you want a spikey edge with noticable layers ask for a point-cut.

My hair can't go long, because it puffs up and doesnt fall well, so the sufer/skateboarder looks are out of the picture. So what should I do? Spiked in the front? All spiked? Gel? No Gel? Use a comb or use my hands?

You don't really have alot to work with, I think a flat top, so it is spiked at the just the front and then it is flat at the back. Type flat top hair style into google. See how you go.

Short Curly Hair ideas? Pictures?

Well, I live in Texas wher eits about 120 degrees, year round, and this summer i have guard camp and this hair just wont due! Its about an inch thick when I pinch ahold of it (not in pony tail, just flat)

So I do love my curls. I have tones and tones of little ringlettes nad i want to incoorperate them into my hairstyle, but a bob just gets frizzy and is still really thick...

Short Curly Hair ideas? Pictures?

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (sodium laureth sulfate, sodum lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, etc.). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then let air dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores) or Activate Hydrating Conditioner (drugstore). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel or Body Envy Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. The products I recommended are my personal favorites and contain no silicones or drying alcohols.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This may take a couple weeks to begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. I'm sure there are threads on naturally curly about short hair cuts for the summer- in fact I've seen them. Just go to curlmunity, curltalk, and general discussion about curly hair. Hope this helps!

First of all let me stop you with the whole I straighten my hair everyday. please don't do that it's really not necessary and you must be damaging your hair a whole lot. Hi, I'm not liking my hair. It's just kind of hanging. It looks cute for about 5-10 minutes after I comb it, then thats it.

I'm due for a hair cut...I have split ends, and its getting difficult to manage my hair. Let's see....details:

Color: Kind of a weird light brownish color with some blonde highlights left over from a while back.

Structure: I suppose you would describe it as straight. However, it has some big huge waves in it. Not cute wavy, but straight with big, ugly waves.

Other details: I'm insecure about the size of my head. I think it's very large, and kind of square-ish.... Since I'm not really confident about the size/shape of my head, I don't like a style that really exposes it.

I want a cut/style that is fun, cute, and easy-to-manage, but still girly and pretty. Any styles that you know of that might work?

(PS: I look good when my hair is really wavy, but I can't afford a perm. Do rollers work well? Also, what do you think about those dying kits you can buy in stores?)

Change it, for sure! Much more stylish the second way, but still not looking like you spent a lot of time doing it. The first hair cut looks like a haircut from the 80's.

Yeahh, definitely change it to the shorter haircut, it looks a lot better with the longer part in the front, and falls over your face nicely, making you look clean and not messy at all!!!

if you have thick hair,you should keep it really long,or buzzed.i would keep it long,but get some layers or get a skater dude cut ,or you could definantely get it feathered out.just remember with long hair you could have more styles-liberty spikes,Mohawk, or what ever u like.i prefer long hair though.peace-out dude.

I think you would look better but still edgy. You kinda have a Dave Growl (sorry, I can't spell...the dude from Foo Fighters and Nirvana) think going on. With the new hair style you can update that look for now a days.

As for the goat...either keep it the way it is or I suggest growing it down alittle longer below the lip...stop before it gets to the chin!

Keep in mind, I am 32...a different generation...I could be out of step in this fashion world. lol
